How We Met
We met on a dating app and met in person for the first time on Valentine’s Day 2025. Our first date began under a big tree near Naftalie’s home, then continued at the mall, a restaurant, and ended at the cinema. Time passed so quickly—it felt natural, effortless, and special from the very beginning.
A Moment That Changed Everything
About a week later, during just their second meeting, Ben asked Naftalie to be his girlfriend. She said yes, and from that moment on, she became part of his family, and their journey together truly began.
The Proposal
On July 3rd, in the warmth of their newly purchased home in Grafton, Ben surprised Naftalie by asking her to be his wife. In a simple, intimate moment filled with love and meaning (and a few happy nerves), she said yes. It marked the beginning of a new chapter in their journey together—one they will cherish forever.
🌸 Meet the Bride – Naftalie
A small woman with a heart bigger than the world, Naftalie comes from the vibrant island of Madagascar. She arrived in the United States in December 2024, bringing with her a love for adventure, a curiosity for languages and cultures, and a fearless spirit ready for new beginnings. Outgoing, playful, and always ready with a joke, she has a way of turning ordinary moments into something fun—sometimes intentionally, sometimes just by being herself. She may not be a fan of the cold (and the cold is very aware of that), but she makes up for it by bringing warmth wherever she goes. And no matter how far she travels, a simple plate of rice—her beloved comfort food from Madagascar—always feels like home.
🌲 Meet the Groom – Ben
From the wide skies and snowy lands of North Dakota, Ben is tall, grounded, and quietly strong. He has a deep love for nature, feeling most at home surrounded by trees, plants, and anything that can grow roots. In fact, he has a full room dedicated to his plants and fruit plants, his personal jungle. Snowmobiling is one of his greatest passions, reflected in an impressive collection. He embraces adventure in his own steady way, and unlike Naftalie, he truly thrives in the cold.
